Our unique selling point is that we make design affordable for startups and ambitious small businesses. That is how we promote ourselves and that is the market we are comfortable operating within. Of course we don't just mean we work with one man businesses and In fact our typical client has a small team with ambitions of growth. There are all different kinds and sizes of design and marketing agency out there and should you have a mind to you could spend £10'000 on a logo or conversely you could spend £15.
We get asked a lot about our own pricing structure and the answer I always give is we are affordable but not cheap and we will work with clients based on what their budget is. The idea is that not one approach will suit everyone. For instance, if we are approached by a one man startup with a very small amount of capital to invest in design we would try to tailor a package unique to them. Of course they will not get quite the same amount of design time as a more established business but we will produce great work for them by streamlining our approach and working within a tighter framework.
We didn't want to be the agency who was always chasing the bluechip account and turning away the little guy. We want to help the little guy grow into the bigger guy. Rather counter intuitively we would actually consider it a huge success if a our little customer came to us and said 'James, thank you for all you have done but I am leaving you now as this new agency can produce x y and z ' (although we hope all our clients love us so much they stay forever). We would be proud to have given them the opportunity (and the budget) to take their business to the next level and invest in the £10'000 Logo (should they wish to).
So essentially we take the same approach as a large agency but strip it down and streamline it to provide the highest quality design available to make the most out of each individual clients budget and allow them to punch above their weight.
